La présente loi a pour but de favoriser et d'encourager les entreprises d'améliorations foncières collectives et particulières visant à améliorer le sol, à en assurer l'utilisation judicieuse, à en faciliter l'exploitation, et à le préserver des dégâts que pourraient causer les phénomènes naturels. La présente loi s'applique aux terrains agricoles, viticoles et forestiers, ainsi qu'aux bâtiments affectés à l'agriculture. Les projets d'améliorations foncières doivent tenir compte de la protection de la nature, des sites et de l'environnement.

This Act makes provision for the conservation of nature and the protection of the environment in the Cook Islands. It shall apply to such parts of the Cook Islands and Cook Islands waters as are specified from time to time by the Queen's Representative by Order in Executive Council. The Act consists of 57 sections divided into 11 Parts.The Act establishes the Conservation Service as a body corporate.

This Decree-Law is composed of 44 articles and three annexes divided in six Chapters. It regulates prevention and control measures against the pollution caused by certain activities, with the aim of reducing their impact over air, water, noise and soil. The list of activities is provided in the annexes, as well as the maximum emission values allowed. It requires environmental impact assessment and regular inspections over hazardous substances and illicit marine pollution. Particular attention is paid to environmental licensing.

Law on improvement of soil and agricultural buildings (Soil Improvement Law).

Article 1 of the present Act establishes, that, in particular, forestry and agriculture shall benefit from soil improvement measures. Soil improvement shall be carried out with a view to land use planning, as well as to protect nature, landscape, cultural heritage, waters and the environment in general. The purpose of this Act is to preserve the environment in Svalbard and in particular to protect wilderness, landscape elements, flora, fauna and cultural heritage. The Act shall apply to the entire land area of Svalbard and its waters within the territorial limit. The Act consists of 103 sections divided into 10 Chapters.The Act defines the environmental protection authorities for Svalbard. Protected areas may be established for the protection of habitats, ecosystems, the wilderness or area of natural or historical value.

La presente codificacion de la Ley de Tierras Baldias y Colonización, norma las tierras que forman parte del patrimonio del Instituto Nacional de Desarrollo Agrario (INDA), y dispone que no se considerarán tierras baldías, las tierras comunitarias de posesión ancestral de los pueblos indígenas que se autodefinen como nacionalidades de raíces ancestrales y de los pueblos negros o afroecuatorianos, así como, de las comunidades que forman parte de estas colectividades de conformidad a lo dispuesto en el Art. 84 de la Constitución Política de la República.
