This paper analyzes the land market in republic of Moldova. Since its independence in 1991, the land market has a tendency to be used for agricultural purposes.
Also, the country is described au agricultural economy which is the main reasou why the focus of this study is ou land prices for agricultural purposes.

Agriculture in the Republic of Moldova has been facing a number of challenges in recent decades, caused by both traditional agricultural practics and effects of climate change. Growing environmental issues, like soil degradation, water pollution, reduced biodiversity, require re-evaluating current agricultural methods.

Agriculture in Eastern Europe and Central Asia is diverse, and has great potential to revitalize the economy of the countries in the region via improved productivity (efficiency) and higher total yield for food, fodder and fibre crops.
