I'm a Brazilian social scientist who recently moved to Canada. My main research topic is the political organization of people from the countryside. My PhD dissertation, at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, focused on the relationship between militants of armed struggle organizations and the rural population in Brazil during the military dictatorship. I am currently working on how the Brazilian transitional justice handles human rights violations in the countryside.
