La présente loi met en exécution la loi fédérale sur l'aménagement du territoire du 22 juin 1979. Elle a pour but d'assurer une utilisation rationnelle et mesurée du sol, ainsi qu'un développement économique harmonieux, conformément aux objectifs et aux exigences de la loi fédérale sur l'aménagement du territoire. Le texte comprend 46 articles répartis en 4 chapitres ocmme suit: Dispositions générales (1er); Tâches du canton (2); Dispositions transitoires et finales (4); Tâches des communes (3).

The provisions of this Act introduce powers which allow for the reform and speeding up of the plans system and an increase in the predictability of planning decisions, the speeding up of the handling of major infrastructure projects and the need for simplified planning zones to be identified in the strategic plan for a region or in relation to Wales. The Act also provides for a number of reforms to make the handling of planning applications by both central government and local authorities quicker and more efficient.

Section 12(2) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 enables the Secretary of State by order to direct that if an area of a National Park falls within more than one region of those, except London, specified in Schedule 1 of the Regional Development Agencies Act 1998, it is treated as falling wholly within one of them. This Order directs that the North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Dales National Park are treated as falling within the Yorkshire and Humber Region and that the Peak District National Park is treated as falling within the East Midlands Region.

This Chapter regulates the use of Government land and defines uses for specific purposes and for specified parts of Guam. The Director with the approval of the Governor is authorized to grant permits for the use of any suitable government real property, not otherwise occupied or in use, and for any lawful purposes. Articles 2 to 5 provide for use of specific lands and the sale of such land to qualified purchasers. Article concerns a comprehensive development Master plan to be adopted for specified areas.

Order No. 434 of the Ministry of Environmental Protection validating the Regulation on the modalities of approval by the environmental institutions of the materials regarding expropriation (purchase) and allotment of the plots of land.

The present Regulation is applicable to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and its territorial branches (environmental institutions). The Regulation establishes the mechanism of approval by the environmental institutions of the selection of the plots of land for the location of the objects thereon, allotment of all categories of land irrespectively of the form of ownership and land tenure.

These Regulations prescribe the information to be contained in that register and the manner in which that register is to be kept by the surveying authority (regs. 2 and 3). These Regulations do not apply to an application under section 53(5) of the Act which has been determined by the surveying authority before the relevant date (reg. 4). Section 53(5) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 enables any person to apply to a surveying authority for an order to modify the definitive map and statement concerning public rights of way.

This Protocol has been adopted by the Contracting Parties to implement the Alpine Convention as regards soil conservation. The Protocol takes into account the functions of the Alpine soil as a natural resource, as an archive of natural history, as a location for agricultural use including pasture farming and forestry and as a source of raw materials.
