These Regulations implement provisions of the Land Survey Ordinance with respect to land survey and contain rules for the conduct of land surveys and drawing of relevant plans. They also concern resolution of disputes between the Chief Surveyor and authorised surveyors, the presentation of surveys and checking and authentication of surveys by the Chief Surveyor.

This Ordinance provides with respect to land title surveys in the Islands. Persons that carry out a survey shall be an surveyor authorised under this Ordinance by the Governor. Any surveyor working for the government shall be deemed to be authorised as long as he or she is employed by the government. The Governor may from time to time order public surveys. The Ordinance also provides for powers of authorised surveyors, compensation of damage done during survey and regulation-making powers of the Governor.

This Ordinance prohibits the unlawful occupation or use of Crown land. The Minister may issue a notice to a person who commits an offence under this Ordinance to give up the occupation of the land and to restore it to its original condition. If the person committing the offence refuses to comply with the notice, the Commissioner of Lands or another authorised officer may remove or demolish any structure on the land. No prosecution shall be instituted against persons that comply within 60 days of the commencement of this Ordinance.

This Ordinance establishes the National Trust as a body corporate. The Trust shall safeguard the cultural, historical and natural heritage of the Turks and Caicos Islands through the preservation of areas, sites, buildings, structures and objects of cultural, historical or natural significance. It may, among other things, engage in programmes to preserve and propagate wildlife. The Trust shall be managed by the Trust Council, which may establish district and special committees.
