Johan Hopkins is the Executive Officer of the Cape Agricultural Employers Association and has been employed in agriculture for the past 40 years as a Human Resource Practitioner. The organisation represents and promotes the interests of its members in the complex laboor arena. In agriculture the CAEA
- lobbies around , regulations, arbitration, mediation and negotiations;
- keeps members informed of developments in these areas;
- provides advice and assistance for members to address labour issues at their workplaces; and
- when necessary, provides professional representation at CCMA processes.
In pursuit of this goal, the CAEO wants to be seen as a progressive, future-oriented organization that applies values such as human dignity, respect and transparency.
