Currently, Tanzania faces numerous challenges related to land ownership, especially in rural areas. The challenges include farmers-pastoralists conflicts, tenure disputes, and alienation of peasants. To address the challenges, the current policies and approaches used in the country need to be changed on the grounds that their inherent shortcomings make the policies unable to meet rampant land problems that the country has faced in recent years and continue to experience.

The present Regulation is made under section 15 of the Act on Land Code Declaration. In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to procedures of acquisition of land in Thailand on behalf of aliens. Clause 2 establishes that such a land must be located in a certain area round Bangkog as specified in this clause. The text consists of 9 clauses.

La presente Ley en primer lugar declara de interés general la preservación y defensa de la soberanía del Estado uruguayo en lo relativo a los recursos naturales y en especial a la tierra. En este sentido la Ley prohíbe la compra y tenencia a cualquier título con finalidades de explotación agropecuaria en todo el territorio nacional a empresas extranjeras o instaladas en el país en las que participe directa o indirectamente un Estado extranjero. El artículo 3º indica bajo qué circunstancias y requisitos se podrán aplicar excepciones a dicha prohibición.

This Decree adds a new 1/A Section to the Basic Text in which the following rules are set forth. Contrary to certain provisions of Section 1 of the Basic Text, the acquisition of real estate by a foreign natural person settling in Hungary as an independent entrepreneur must be authorized pursuant to a separate act, if such property is essential for pursuing the business activities for which the foreign natural person settled. No property intended to be acquired for the purpose of a real estate transaction shall be construed as essential for business activities.

This Decree establishes the modalities of allotment of land plots of area up to 1, 0 ha on conditions of permanent (open-ended) land tenure through tenders for performance of entrepreneurial activities. It shall be applicable to industrial land areas and non-agricultural land. It contains information related to the modalities of organization of tenders and information of the applicants of available land plots.

The purpose of this Law is the establishment of market oriented conditions in the agricultural sector based on private ownership. Land transfer and the use of land as guarantee for land-based credit should promote the efficient operation of new businesses. This Law basically regulates the use of arable land and aims to create landed properties suitable for competitive agricultural production, avoiding to burden land with the effects of excessive subdivision.
