LEI is an experienced, innovative and progressive international development consulting organisation specialising in land administration, land policy and land tenure. At LEI, we work with various public, private and citizen-led stakeholders to research, design, develop, manage and monitor land sector projects. We use only the best international and nationally based experts to consult and co-design land administration solutions, from field documenting customary tenure to integrated national information system strategies.

How do various forms of globalisation affect the economy, politics, and society at a national and subnational level? How does globalisation influence governance? How can the main and side effects of development programmes be measured? How can the use of resources be controlled in a sensible manner? Such questions that are relevant for scientific and practical international collaboration are looked at by around 50 researchers at IEE from an economic, legal, and social scientific perspective.

Belun was established in 2004 to prevent conflict and facilitate community capacity development in Timor-Leste. Belun’s work is grounded in the vision of a society that has the ability, creativity and criticalthinking to strengthen peace for development. The Sierra Leone Network on the Right to Food (SiLNoRF) was established in 2008 as an African civil society mechanism to work exclusively on right to food issues. It was created just after the establishment of the African Network on the Right to Food (ANoRF) in Cotonou in 2008. Following the Cotonou declaration of ANoRF, several Civil Society Organisations, NGOs, CBOs working in the areas of Human Rights Advocacy became members of SiLNoRF.

The Network for Women’s Rights in Ghana (NETRIGHT) is a network of civil society organisations and individuals who have a clear interest in working together to bring a gender perspective into national processes and advocate for policy change to strengthen women’s human rights.

The Foundation for Community Initiatives (FCI) was founded in 2004 as a community based organization in Grand Bassa County, Liberia, by a group of trained development workers and human rights activists trained by Development Education Network – Liberia (DEN-L). The Development Education Network-Liberia (DEN-L) runs the “Development Education Leadership Teams in Actions” (DELTA) Training, which provides leadership, development and advocacy training for NGOs in Liberia.

Land Use Policy is an international and interdisciplinary journal concerned with the social, economic, political, legal, physical and planning aspects of urban and rural land use. It provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and information from the diverse range of disciplines and interest groups which must be combined to formulate effective land use policies.

Friends of Lake Turkana (FoLT) is a grassroots organization, that works with and on behalf of the communities within the greater Turkana basin to demand their collective social, economic, environmental, cultural and territorial rights. Recognizing the anti-patriarchal struggle is a vision expressed in all areas of our work. Our mission is to; demand environmental and climate justice; secure land and territorial rights; advocate for meaningful participation of citizens in budget making processes, resource governance; and provide for women-led community advocacy
