Weaver Press is a dynamic independent publishing house formed in 1998 to publish books from and about Zimbabwe.

Weaver’s growing fiction list now features over 120 Zimbabwean short story writers, and our novelists include several international prize-winners who were first published by Weaver Press. Our non-fiction list focuses on political and social history, the environment, media issues, and women and children’s rights; it features many esteemed scholars from inside and outside Zimbabwe whose work looks at Zimbabwe’s developments from a wide range of viewpoints.

The mission of the Global Initiative is to:


  • Contribute to networks of human rights, women’s rights, environmental and development organizations and agencies to advance the sustainable enjoyment of economic, social and cultural rights at both national and international levels.
  • Support and engage advocates, social movements and grassroots communities at national and local levels to more effectively claim and enforce economic, social and cultural rights, including by engaging international mechanisms for local impact.

International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development

ICIMOD

The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) is a regional intergovernmental learning and knowledge sharing centre serving the eight regional member countries of the Hindu Kush Himalaya – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan – and based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Globalization and climate change have an increasing influence on the stability of fragile mountain ecosystems and the livelihoods of mountain people.

OECD Development Centre

The OECD Development Centre was established in 1961 as an independent platform for knowledge sharing and policy dialogue between Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development member countries and developing economies, allowing these countries to interact on an equal footing.


Tata Trusts

Tata Trusts (comprising Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Allied Trusts, and the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Allied Trusts) are amongst India's oldest, non-sectarian philanthropic organisations. The Trusts own two-third of the stock holding of Tata Sons, the apex company of the Tata group of companies. The wealth that accrues from this asset supports an assortment of causes, institutions and individuals in a wide variety of areas. In this manner, the profits that the Tata companies earn go back many times over to the communities they operate in.
