This article presents a chronology of the growth of the concept of Indigeneity in Thailand, analysing the particular ways in which the global Indigenous movement has taken root in the country. In Thailand, transnational support networks and the opening of political associational space played key roles in facilitating the growth of, first, a regional, and later a national Indigenous movement during the 1980s and early 2000s, respectively.

Although the Orang Asli are the original, indigenous peoples of Peninsular Malaysia, they have been largely excluded from the country’s economic growth of recent decades. Rather than protect this marginalized community, state officials and private agencies regularly exploit the Orang Asli and their ancestral lands. Given that many of the Orang Asli’s prevailing challenges stem from their lack of customary land ownership, systemic change must come from the legislative level.

The Government of Peru is gradually advancing in the process of recognizing and formalizing the territorial rights of the indigenous peoples of the Amazon. 
In order to document and analyse how titling is carried out and how the local population perceives its impacts, the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), with the support of German development cooperation, conducted a study on the progress and challenges of native community titling processes. this is the summary of the study conducted in the Ucayali and San Martin regions of the Peruvian Amazon.

Esse artigo se propõe pensar de que forma pessoas, “almas” e “caboclos”, em suas diversas modulações, convivem e povoam o espaço de uma ilha situada no trecho submédio do rio São Francisco, no Brasil, a Ilha do Massangano. Por viverem numa ilha em meio ao semiárido nordestino, seus habitantes articulam a presença desses seres à força dos regimes das águas do rio e sua relação com o sem-fim da “terra firme”, atualizado ali no bioma da caatinga. Em oposição à terra firme, a ilha ela própria anda, movida pela força das correntezas do rio.
