This Regional Decree establishes the modalities of performance of municipal land control by local government. Municipal land control shall be conducted in the form of ordinary and extraordinary inspections of legal persons and individual entrepreneurs. The subject of inspection shall be checking data and information contained in the documentation related to land tenure, to ensure availability and conservation of landmarks.
Le présent décret modifie le décret n° 2-94-266 du 18 chaabane 1415 (20 janvier 1995) pris pour l'application de la loi n°30-93 relative à l'exercice de la profession d'ingénieur géomètre-topographe et instituant l'Ordre national des ingénieurs géomètres-topographes.
The guide proposes guiding principles to build Fit-For-Purpose land administration systems in order to deliver benefits, including secure tenure rights, to a wide range of stakeholders. It provides structured guidance on building the spatial, legal and institutional frameworks in support of designing country-specific strategies for implementing FFP land administration. It contains the analysis and operational advisory guidelines to implement the approach.
This Order, consisting of 11 sections, adopts the Digital Land Survey Data (DLSD) as a Standard Format for the Submission and Exchange of Survey Data in Digital Form under the Land Administration and Management System (LAMS).
Public land is a resource that should be effectively managed in the public’s best interest in line with provisions of the Constitutions of Kenya and the Land Act. The management framework governing land use and development decisions on public land should ensure protection and sustainable management of the land. Despite these provisions in law, recent media reports point toresurgenceof public land grab. The Land Development and Governance Institute commissioned this research study to establish the status of the public land management in Kenya.
