The South-East Peninsula Land Development and Conservation Board shall evaluate development schemes, make recommendations regarding allotment and reservation of land, control of pollution, implementation of environmental protection plans, monitor implementation of development schemes and carry out other functions set out in section 4. The Board shall prepare the South-East Peninsula Development and Land Use Management Plan in accordance with section 5.

This Act is a compendium of various matters related to conservation and environmental protection and management and preservation of historic sites. It empowers the Minister responsible for managing the environment to designate certain land or marine sites as "protected areas". Areas that may be designated as such include national parks, nature reserves, botanical gardens, marine reserves, historic sites, scenic sites, or areas of special interest.

This Act aims at the creation, registration, development and operation of one or more planned communities in a specified area of St. Kitts and Nevis."Planned community" is a real estate under development that shall be subdivided into lots. The Act provides for the regulation of rights and obligations of owners of property within a Planned Community. A Planned Community shall be created by a declaration made under the Title By Registration Act (cap. 279) and shall be managed by a community corporation. The Act provides also for the merger and consolidation of Planned Communities.

This Ordinance introduces a tax on the ownership of property including land. It also provides for the valuation of property, exemptions from taxation, recovery of taxes, appeals and the administration of provisions of the Ordinance.Conservation land and land designated as heritage property shall be exempted from taxation. The Chief Valuation Officer shall maintain a Valuation List of property. The Ordinance establishes the Valuation Review Board and provides that appeal may be had against decisions of the Board with the High Court.
