Certain lands being at the time state forests are transferred to national park estate and Aboriginal ownership. The lands described in Schedule 3 that are within State forests are set apart as, or as part of, flora reserves under the Forestry Act 1916. Forest agreements may be made under Part 2 with respect to particular regions of the State. A forest agreement may only be made in respect of a region that has been the subject of a regional forest assessment carried out by or on behalf of the Resource and Conservation Assessment Council.

This Governmental Decree establishes the modalities of forest management in public forest, on protected areas and in forests not pertaining to public forest fund. Forest management shall be performed by forest management organization subordinated to state Forest Service. In the process of forest management practice shall be performed mandatory forest inventory. Transfer of low value land areas in other categories. Forest management shall be completed with mapping of forest land.

This Regulation enacts sections 151 (2) (b) and 151.1 of the Forest Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 157. Section 2 lays down provisions relating to the establishment and listing of forest regions, and section 3 contains provisions relating to the establishment and listing of forest districts. The purpose of these Measures is to strengthen the protection and management of forest lands, rationally develop and utilize forest land resources and promote the development of ecological forestry. The Measures consist of 29 articles.The Measures provide for the procedures and requirements for the use of forest land for construction projects. Total amount control and quota management shall be carried out on forest land to be occupied by construction projects.

This Decree establishes the modalities of keeping State forest register, State land-use planning register, State register of waste disposal sites and State cartographic and mapping register. State forest register shall be the system of constantly updated reliable information on forests, legal status thereof, quantitative and qualitative characteristics of forests and economic assessment thereof. State land-use planning register shall be the system of constantly updated reliable information on territory, development and engineering, transport and social infrastructure.

National Park Estate (Riverina Red Gum Reservations) Act 2010.

This Act, consisting of 18 sections and completed by ten Schedules, aims at transferring to the national park estate certain river red gum State forest lands in the Riverina area; enabling the transfer to Aboriginal ownership and conservation of certain other State forest lands in the Riverina area; enabling forestry operations to continue on land in the Riverina area remaining as State forest; enabling the collection of firewood for non-commercial purposes to continue in areas reserved as national or regional parks; etc.
