This thirty-page report is the third out of three reports written on forest resources in Madagascar. It is aimed at the collection, analysis of data related to the forest plantations sector in Madagascar. Different from the other two reports, it deals with issues related to village plantations and its uses by local families. The report is composed of six main topics dealing with the methodologies used, the surface of the plantations, total volume of these, the commercial aspects, the duration of rotation and the dynamics of reforestation and exploitation.

This report comments on the situation of forest products in Niger. The first part of the report analyses the current uses and importance of forest products in the country followed by a special review on wood production and its uses. The later part looks into the collection, analysis and dissemination process and evaluates the methodologies used during the process. The most important products are also looked into in detail followed by some suggestions on how the overall process could be improved.

This forty-page paper is the second of three reports on forest resources in Madagascar. It is compose of five main parts focusing on the review, compilation and analysis of data related the industrial forest plantations sector in the country. The main topics discussed are the actual state of industrial plantations, the analysis of trends, etc. A complete conclusion is provided followed by a series of tables in the annexes.

This document provides an overview of the status of forest resources in Asia and the Pacific and their sustainable management through national forest programmes in 30 countries in the region, including new country profiles for Brunei Darussalam, Maldives and the United States of America. The fifteen-page report starts with an executive summary on the forest resources in Kenya. It is composed of six sections describing the types of forests and inventories, the volume of data of natural forests, the total reported area of all forest plantations, the forest area by naturalness and the forest fire situation in the country.

A medium size report (thirty-pages) that deals with the overall situation of forest resources in Togo. It is composed of six main parts focusing on the importance, the structure and current repartition of forests. It also covers other topics like the evolution of these forests, their composition, their production potential, etc.

A complete 60-page report covering some of the general aspects of natural forests in Rwanda. It is composed of three chapters that cover various topics like mountain forests, relictual areas, savinocol formations, forest plantations, etc. The last part synthesises the country's forest resources and their uses.

An analysis of the present state of forest plantations and of current trends in plantation forestry both on a global basis and region-by-region. Economic and policy considerations in the development of plantation forestry are discussed. The outlook for plantation forestry is then presented in the form of alternative scenarios according to future growth in plantation area.
