This Law aims to prevent and control water and soil loss, protect and reasonably utilize water and soil resources, reduce disasters of flood, drought and sandstorm, improve the ecological environment and guarantee sustainable economic and social development.The Law provides for the preparation of water and soil conservation plans made based on the results of water and soil loss investigation and delimitation of key prevention areas and key control areas.

This Regional Law establishes that forest land plots granted to citizens free of charge or with the establishment of servitude for agro-forestry (haymaking, grazing, apiculture, reindeer ranching, growing of crops etc.). Land areas shall be established within the following limits: (a) arable land – 3 ha; (b) haymaking – 10 ha; (c) apiculture – 0, 3 ha; and (d) other agricultural activities – 5 ha. Citizens shall have the right to allotment of several forest land plots for performance of different agricultural activities.

This Regional Law establishes that forest land plots granted to citizens free of charge for the length of service for limited utilization shall be allotted to forest officers and staff of state hunting organizations (game managers and gamekeepers) for agro-forestry (haymaking, grazing, apiculture, growing of crops etc.). Land areas shall be established within the following limits: (a) arable land – 3 ha; (b) haymaking – 10 ha; and (c) other agricultural activities – 5 ha.

Regional Law No. 11-RZ "On protection of urban forests".

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of protection, management and reproduction of urban forests with a view of creation of favourable environment for the population. The role of urban forests shall be as follows: (a) recreational, ecological, aesthetic, sanitary and other protection functions; (b) tourism and sport. In case of planning of economic activities on areas under urban forests reforestation and forest conservation arrangements shall be envisaged.

Regional Law No. 9-RZ “On slide areas”.

This Regional Law establishes legal status of slide areas, establishes boundaries of land areas where slide processes could originate. Slide processes shall be intended movement of rockslide under the impact of gravitation forces. A special conservation, maintenance and land-use planning regime shall be applicable to each slide area. Validated boundaries of slide areas shall be recorded in state land cadastre.

Law No. 145 “On attribution of special status to border areas”.

The scope of this Law shall be to ensure better living conditions of the population in border areas. Priority activity of state bodies and local self-government in border areas with special status shall be: (a) land reclamation; (b) conservation and rational management of natural resources; and (c) prevention of natural disasters and mitigation of the consequences thereof.

This Act aims to establish a framework for the establishment and operation of a national test centre for large wind turbines, in an area near Østerild and Hjardemål dune plantations in Thisted Municipality. The center will provide opportunities to test prototypes of new onshore and offshore wind turbines, with the measurement of a maximum height of 250 meters.

This Act, among other things, recognizes the Minerals Management Board as established by section 214 of the Constitution and provides rules relative to exploration and exploitation of minerals in Swaziland. The Act defines functions and powers of the Board, establishes an office of the Commissioner of Mines and defines functions of the Commissioner of Mines. A distinction is made between small-scale and large-scale operations for the purposes of this Act.
