The Act provides for the compulsory acquisition of land and the compensation of losses resulting from such acquisition. Section 5 provides for the acquisition of private land by persons requiring such and not having been able to acquire the land by private agreement. In accordance with section 6, the Minister may issue an investigation notice in respect of land likely to be compulsorily acquired. Section 8 provides for notices of compulsory acquisition to be published in the Gazette and two daily newspapers.

The present Law is divided into the following 10 Chapters: Title and Definition (1); Application for Lease or Licence (2); Payment of Duties and Fees (3); Powers of the Department and the Director General (4); Cancellation of the Lease Licence (5); Inspection and Action to be taken (6); Appeals (7); Prohibitions (8); Offences and Penalties (9); Miscellaneous (10).The exercise of aquaculture in aquaculture lands or fishery areas which are not connected to any of the Government Departments or special fishery areas is subject to the issuance of a lease grant.

This Decree makes provision for the establishment of tribunals by the Minister, define the jurisdiction of such tribunals and lay down the procedures for the submission to and handling of claims by such tribunals.The tribunal shall be competent in small claims as defined by this Decree but shall not have jurisdiction in respect of any claim: (a) for the recovery of land or any estate or interest therein; (b) in which the title to any land or any estate or interest therein is in question; (c) which could not be brought in a Magistrates' Court; and (d) which is required by any law to be broug

This Decree amends the Local Government Act by repealing section 71A and replacing it with a new provision. Section 71A defines "registered lease" for the purpose of rating of land.

The present Act lays down comprehensive provisions relating to the transfer of property including land. The text – consisting of 61 sections – deals with the following aspects: disposal of certain interests in land by deed, land acquired by possession by two or more, release of part of land from rent-charge and lien on lands for improvements under mistake of title.

The present Act lays down provisions dealing with agricultural leaseholds.

This Act prescribes that it shall be a term or condition of every tenancy of an agricultural holding of a plantation specified in the First Schedule to this Act that a qualified tenant may purchase the freehold of that agricultural holding at a price to be agreed upon between the landlord and tenant. “Agricultural holding” is defined by the Security of Tenure of Small Holdings Act. A qualified tenant is a tenant that has been cultivating the holding for a specified number of years. An option to purchase shall be exercised in the form as set out in the Second Schedule to this Act.

This Law governs lease agreements, including the rights, obligations and performance of the Parties. Leases shall comprise contracts for the temporary and paid tenure and use of land or other natural resources for the purpose of establishing an independent business, or for other purposes stipulated by law. Any owner of property or his representative may lease the property. Any natural person or group of persons or legal entity may be the lessee. Lease agreements shall determine the method of leasing the property, such as competition or auction.

This Law consists of VII Sections that contain 43 articles. Section I (arts. 1-8) lays down general provisions. Section II (arts. 9-15) regards state guarantees concerning foreign investments. Section III (arts. 16-35) regards establishment and activity of enterprises with foreign investments. Section IV (arts. 36 and 37) regards purchase of securities by foreign investors. Section V (arts. 38-40) regards acquisition of rights for use of land and other proprietary rights by foreign investors. Section VI (art. 41) regards foreign investments in free economic zones. The present Law regulates leasing relations in the Azerbaijan Republic, determines rights and obligations of subjects of leasing contract. The document consists of V Secs. that contain 16 Arts. Section I (arts. 1-3) lays down general provisions. Section II (art. 4) specifies the forms of leasing activity. Section III (Arts. 5-8) regards leasing contract. Section IV (Arts. 9-12) establishes rights and obligations of the subjects of leasing contract. Section V (Arts. 13-16) regards termination of the leasing contract.
