This Act provides for the control of tenantries, i.e. an area of land, including public land, subdivided before a specified date into lots for letting for specified purposes. Division or sale of a tenantry requires the permission of the Chief Town Planner.

This Act makes provision in relation to the sale of land ordered to be sold by the High Court and related matters such as valuation of land by appointed appraisers. Procedures of sale shall be handled by the Registrar of Titles.

This Act establishes the Administrative Appeal Tribunal. The Tribunal shall hear and determine appeals from decisions of certain tribunals and authorities in accordance with this Act.
