This Act, consisting of 41 sections and completed by two Schedules, provides also for the management of the land vested in Aboriginal Corporations.The sections of this Act are divided into 7 Parts: Preliminary (I); Vesting of Condah Land and Framlingham Forest (II); Management of Condah land (III); Management of Framlingham Forest (IV); Mining (V); Trust Funds (VI); Miscellaneous (VII).On the commencement of this Act, Framlingham Forest, shall be vested in the Kirrae Whurrong Aboriginal Corporation. Upon the vesting of Framlingham Forest in the Kirrae Whurrong Aboriginal Corporation, the Corporation has the full power of management, control and enjoyment of Framlingham Forest, subject to the law of Victoria and the Commonwealth and the power to transfer its interest in Framlingham Forest to another Aboriginal group which is incorporated under the Aboriginal Councils and Associations Act 1976. The Kirrae Whurrong Aboriginal Corporation may make by-laws for the management, access, conservation, fire protection, development and use of Framlingham Forest, etc. (2 Schedules)Chapter 2 of the Criminal Code (except Part 2.5) applies to all offences against this Act.
