The Ordinance provides for the institution of the Chittagong City Corporation, its functions and tasks. The Corporation shall be also responsible for the following: Section 75, Sanitation; Section 77, Removal ,collection and disposal of refuse; Section 85, Water supply; Section 86, Private sources of water supply; Section 87, Drainage; Section 88, Drainage schemes; Section 91, Public water courses; Section 93, Public fisheries; Section 94, By-laws for articles of food and drink; Section 95, Milk Supply; Section 97, Slaughter-houses; Section 98, Animal Husbandry; Section 99, Stray animals; Section 100 Animal homes and farms;; Section 101, Registration of the sale of cattle; Section 102, Livestock improvement; Section 103, Dangerous animal; Section 104 Cattle shows, zoos, etc.; Section 105, Disposal of carcasses; Section 120, Floods; Section 127, Forests; Section 128, Nuisances pertaining to trees and plantations; Section 129, Tanks and low-lying areas. The Third Schedule lists the Offences under Ordinance.
