“Crown range” means land included within the boundaries of a range district as established under this Act, but does not include land that is subject to a lease issued under the Land Act (sect. 1). Section 3 establishes that power is given to "regional and district managers" to grant rights over Crown range in the form of grazing licences, grazing permits, temporary grazing permits, hay cutting licences and hay cutting permits. The Act consists of 85 sections divided into 4 Parts as follows: Disposition of rights over Crown Range by the government (1); Requirements respecting licences and permits (2); Compliance and enforcement (3); Miscellaneous and regulations (4).

Implemented by: Range Regulation (B.C. Reg.116/2005). (2014-06-30)
Repeals: Range Act ([RSBC 1996] Chapter 396). (2004-01-31)
