This Act aims at utilizing land more appropriately with regard to transportations, economics, social, the environment and communities, and so as to be in line with urban planning. The Act consists of 89 Sections.A Land Readjustment Committee shall be appointed. Section 6 provides the the Committee's powers and duties, including: (1) Formulate policies, establish goals and important measures relating to Land Readjustment; (2) Approve master plans and target areas for Land Readjustment; etc. The Land Readjustment Association shall be appointed to implement the Land Readjustment Projects. The land owners in the Land Readjustment area shall have the right in the land plots after the Land Readjustment Project in the same manner as the right vested in the land plots before the Land Readjustment Project. The Act further makes provisions, on measures for land readjustment project proposal and implementation, land readjustment fund, offences and penalties, etc.
