This note is divided into three sections. The first section describes the Final Act analyzing the details of the agreement on market access, domestic support, export subsidies, the special and differential treatment of the developing countries including the Decision referred to in (iii) above; and a brief look at other sectors. The second section assesses the Final Act in a general qualitative way including a preliminary discussion of the policy implications for the developing countries, the third section provides a summary of recent studies on the possible quantitative impact of the Final Act pending an in-depth, commodity by commodity analysis that will the undertaken later this year after the various Schedules of Commitments are finalized. As these will not be available before April 1994, and commitments will not start to be operational before 1995, it is planned to conclude this major study by the end of 1994.
