The Open Data Champions initiative seeks to celebrate the inspiring leaders across the globe who are championing open data practices in the land sector. This initiative delves into the stories of these remarkable individuals, particularly those working within the Global South. Through in-depth interviews, we explore their journeys – the challenges they've overcome, the opportunities they've seized, and the very real impact they're making in promoting increased access to land data. Their stories serve as powerful tools for inspiration and learning. By showcasing authentic experiences and successes, we hope to encourage land practitioners everywhere to embrace open data practices and join the movement for a more transparent and accessible land data landscape.
