This Ordinance amends the Land Planning and Development (Plans) Ordinance, 2007 in the section 9(4) by omitting the words "request the Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure to". Section 9 concverns procedures for the review of plans and local planning briefs.

Access to Neighbouring Land (Guernsey) Law, 2016.

This Law provides with respect to access orders, i.e. an order of the Magistrate Court to grant access to neighbouring land for a person that requires such access for the purpose of carrying out works on adjoining or adjacent land (dominant land) but does not have the consent to do so. An access order may be made only at certain conditions. Compensation may be had by the person served with a servitude tacite notice.

This Ordinance implements provisions of the Land Planning and Development (Guernsey) Law, 2005 by prescribing, in its Schedule, use classes for the purposes of the Law and for the purposes of any description used in the Strategic Land Use Plan and any Plan or Local Planning Brief. The Ordinance also provides with respect to minor, ancillary or incidental uses and uses falling without use classes. Specific provision is made for land used for agriculture falling within use class

This Ordinance makes provision with respect to transitional and saving arrangements consequential upon the enactment of the Land Planning and Development (Guernsey) Law, 2005 and consequential upon the repeal of selected provisions by that Law. Transitional and saving arrangements concern, among other things, applications for planning permission, appeals, various development plans, grant of permissions and preliminary declarations.
