The purpose of the present Act is to consolidate Acts relating to agriculture and the marketing of agricultural products. Part II lays down provisions relating to agricultural associations which may be organized for any district. Their object shall be to improve agriculture and in general rural community life.
The purpose of the present Act is to ensure that every person whose land is expropriated shall be compensated. The Act contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms employed therein such as, for example, “appraisal report”, “Board”, “Court”, “expropriation authority”, “expropriation document”, “land”, “owner”, “registered owner”. Section 47 establishes that the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board shall determine any compensation where the parties have not agreed on the amount of compensation.
This Act regulates foreshores and beds of rivers and lakes. It is divided up into 8 section as follows: 1 Short title; 2 Grant or lease of beach or foreshore; 3 Price or rental terms; 4 Grant of water front; 5 Prohibited oyster cultivation; 6 Fish trap or weir; 7 Administration of Act and 8 Disposition of money.
This Act is divided into two sections as follows: 1 Short title and 2 Venue of action relating to land. The Act provides for the local justice centre areas to hear local trespass land actions, actions in which possession or recovery of lands is sought, and actions in which the title to lands is in issue.
