Landnet Malawi
andNet is a network of at least 40 Civil Society Organizations that advocate for pro-poor and equitable land and natural resources policies, legislation and decision making processes that enhance livelihoods and sustainable utilization of natural resources.
LandNet started as an unregistered pressure group in 1999 to share concerns on government’s none-inclusive and none-participatory approach to the development and implementation of environment and Natural Resources management policies and legislation and more especially matters relating to land. Since 1999, LandNet operated as the “Civil Society Taskforce on Land and Natural Resources Policy Reform” but got registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act as “LandNet” on 3rd July 2008.
