Dr. Asebe Regassa is currently a senior research and teaching fellow at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He researches on a wide range of interdisciplinary areas including resource frontiers, the politics of large-scale development projects, human-nature relations, conflict and peace building and indigenous peoples’ rights with particular focus on East Africa. He has published numerous articles and book chapters on these themes including a chapter in the “Lands of the Future: Anthropological Perspectives on Pastoralism, Land Deals and Tropes of Modernity in Eastern Africa” published in 2021 by Berghahn books.
