Topics and Regions
As a legal and rural sociologist, I always seek to combine in-depth theoretical underpinnings with long term fieldwork experiences. In my work I aim to give meaning to socio-political issues while supporting sustainable development. I am highly interested in a broad array of theoretical concepts and research themes: socio-legal studies, agrarian and social change, development sociology; post-socialism, politics and governance, and sustainable development. I have extensive experience in ethnographic research. I have conducted long term fieldwork in challenging research settings and can navigate unknown environments with complicated bureaucracies. I am a good networker, and experienced in applying a wide array of different research methods. I always seek to interact, cooperate and engage with people in their daily life.
