Topics and Regions
I am an indigenous researcher and activist on issues related to environmental justice and gender, climate justice, conservation and management of forest ecosystems and biodiversity, and inclusive governance of natural resources (Water, forest, biodiversity). Thanks to the knowledge, experiences and concern for the care of Mother Nature, inherited from my ancestors, I have been able to study and work on issues that concern the local development of indigenous territories, which I do for more 30 years. I am a passionate agroecological engineer and made a PhD in gender and political ecology of water. For more reference of my work, see my publications in this link: https://www.linkedin.com/in/juana-vera-delgado-92bb331bb/
Presently , I am working for Global Forest Coalition (GFC) as a Senior gender and environmental justice advisor. GFC is an eco-feminist international coalition of NGOs and Indigenous Peoples Organizations defending social justice and the rights of forest peoples.
