Liberia’s Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS) is built on the foundation of the Government’s 150-Day Action Plan. The PRS is part of a longer-term continuum of the Government’s strategy for rapid, inclusive and sustainable growth and poverty reduction, including progress toward achieving the Millennium Development Goals. The PRS covers the three-year period from April 2008 to June 2011.

La présente stratégie s’inscrit dans le cadre de la Convention Internationale sur la Diversité Biologique. Les objectifs de la stratégie sont de deux ordres, l’un de développement dont l’essence est la recherche de la sécurité alimentaire, et l’autre spécifique pour pallier cette recherche de la productivité avec la gestion rationnelle des ressources.

La presente Ley crea y desarrolla las Zonas de Interés de desarrollo rural, económico y social (ZIDRES), como territorios con aptitud agrícola, pecuaria y forestal y piscícola identificados por la Unidad de Planificación Rural Agropecuaria (UPRA), que se establecerán a partir de Planes de Desarrollo Rural Integral en un marco de economía formal y de ordenamiento territorial, soportados bajo parámetros de plena competitividad e inserción del recurso humano en un contexto de desarrollo humano sostenible, crecimiento económico regional, desarrollo social y sostenibilidad ambiental.

The five Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan) are among the Europe and Central Asia Region’s most vulnerable to climate change; building resilience is thus a priority for poverty reduction and shared prosperity in Central Asia. Such impacts are already being felt and are expected to intensify, with the agriculture, energy, and water sectors most at risk.
