This Act sets out the legislative framework related to mountain territories ands their management. In particular, the Act deals with subsidies to be granted for the improvement of such territories, particularly as regards the management of sylvopastoral resources. Further provisions concern the expropriation procedures to be applied, the institutional framework and the procedures for adopting the reclamation plan.

This Act makes provision for the management and conservation of forest and wildlife resources in Montserrat. It establishes the Forestry, Wildlife, National Parks and Protected Areas Board and the Environmental Fund. The Board shall, among other things, advise the Minister and review and revise the national forest, wildlife and national parks plan.

This Policy Paper identifies the role of agriculture and natural resources research (Chapter II); review the Bank's research experience (Chapter III); identifies the developmental issues and research challenges faced by the Bank (Chapter IV); indicates where research can contribute meaningfully (Chapter V); and concludes with recommendations on the priorities and approaches the Bank should adopt in supporting agriculture and natural resources research (Chapter VI).

This paper makes proposals for EU-AU cooperation in support of agricultural development in Africa, focusing on initiatives at regional and continental levels. Cooperation at these levels is meant to both complement and stimulate agricultural development at the national level, the level where most investments take place and where the most intense cooperation will remain relevant.

The Global Donor Platform OECD focal point, Karim Hussein, points out that page 5 of this new publication reviews agriculture and rural development and interestingly showed that only 5% of DAC donor aid for agricultural inputs had a gender equality focus.

This document is about rural development in Africa. These Rules, made by the Minister for Agriculture, upon consultation with the Central Agricultural Board under section 48 of the Agriculture Act, require farmers to establish and maintain farm forestry on at least ten percent of every agricultural land holding. One of the objectives of the Rules is to preserve and sustain the environment and combating climate change and global warming. Other declared objectives include: the conservation of water, soil and biodiversity; the protection of riverbanks, shorelines, riparian and wetland areas; and the sustainable production of wood.
