This Act amends the Shooting and Fishing Leases Ordinance, 1966 in subsection (2) of section 5 concerning formal requirements for the deed of lease of the right to shoot and go in pursuit of game and to fish, hunt or fowl on Crown Lands. Such deed may be signed by the Minister or such officer of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources and Co-operative Development as may be designated by him or her.

This Ordinance of the Legislature of Mauritius concerns the award of lease of the right to shoot and go in pursuit of game and to fish, hunt or fowl on Crown Lands. The Ordinance sets out procedural requirements for such award by the Minister, which may be done through public auction. There shall be attached to the deed of lease a plan showing the boundaries of the land to which the lease refers. A lease may be for any period not exceeding fourteen years. the Ordinance also sets out rights and obligations of lessees.

The Ministery of land and forests shall be responsible for the management of public land, as well as for the management of the timber and forests belonging to public lands.

Le présent décret fixe les prix de cession et les redevances des terrains urbains et ruraux du domaine prive immobilier de l’Etat à usage commercial, industriel, artisanal, scolaire, de bureau, d’habitation ou assimilé.Ce texte abroge le Décret n°02-114/PRM du 06 mars 2002 portant fixation des prix de cession et des redevances des terrains urbains et ruraux du domaine privé immobilier de l’Etat à usage commercial, industriel, artisanal, scolaire, de bureau, d’habitation ou autres.

Le présent décret fixe les barèmes généraux de base des prix de cession, des redevances des terrains ruraux appartenant à l’Etat et détermine la procédure d’estimation des barèmes spécifiques.Ce décret abroge le Décret n°02-115-P-RM du 06 mars 2002 portant fixation des barèmes généraux de base des prix de cession, des redevances des terrains ruraux appartenant à l’Etat et la détermination de la procédure d’estimation des barèmes spécifiques.

Le présent décret a pour objet de fixer les modalités de mise en oeuvre du droit de concession pour l’exploitation des terres agricoles du domaine privé de l’Etat prévu par les dispositions de la loi n° 10-03.

This Act amends the Integrated Coastal Management Act, 2008 with respect to a wide variety of matters including composition coastal public property, access fees, purposes for which coastal public property is established, reclamation of land by public authorities for state infrastructure and other purposes, the declaration of state-owned land as coastal public property, establishment of coastal management lines for protection purposes, award of coastal use permits on coastal public property and unlawful structures on coastal public property.

L’annulation du principe de la présomption de domanialité ainsi que la mise en place de la propriété foncière privée non titrée par la loi n°2005-019 du 17 octobre 2005 fixant les statuts des terres à Madagascar a impliqué une révision de la loi sur le domaine privé national. La présente Loi établit les nouvelles modalités de gestion de son patrimoine, notamment immobilier et mobilier par l’Etat.

Cette loi porte Code foncier.

The report explores the evictions of pastoralists and other conflicts over pastoralists’ land in Tanzania, with focus on the past decade. 

Although most of these evictions and land based conflicts have been documented, the associated human and legal rights violations have increasingly lead to concern amongst civil society. A study was therefore commissioned to collate the available information as well as to visit affected pastoralist communities to assess the current situation faced by pastoralists in the country. 

This briefing note call attention to the ongoing situation of harassments and arbitrary arrests of human rights defenders in Loliondo in northern Tanzania.It offers an account of the recent events taking place in the area and background information.

IWGIA believes that these developments are a cause of great concern. The detentions, harassment and trumped up charges undermine civil society and other stakeholders, limiting their options to carry out human rights work in Tanzania.
