The Voluntary Guidelines for the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries, and Forests in the Context of National Food Security discuss the importance of recognizing "legitimate land rights." But what does that mean and who determines which rights are "legitimate?"
Women need secure access to and control of land in order to realise their human rights. In order for the women to realise their land and inheritance rights it is important for the policy makers to have in place mechanisms and institutions to guide practice. This report sets out the status of women’s land and inheritance rights in Lesotho. The aim is to provide a consolidated baseline which can inform policy making, implementation and monitoring.

This Act, consisting of 40 sections, makes provisions with respect to land tenure rights, conveyance of lands, easements, transfer of land, leases, mortgages, foreign governments right to own land and various other matters relative to the registration of titles, use of land rights, transfer of land, etc.
La presente Ley establece los principios y reglas generales para la conservación de los suelos en la Provincia. Se faculta a la Dirección de Agropecuaria, Bosques e Industrias a adoptar las medidas necesarias para asegurar la conservación de los suelos y el mantenimiento de su capacidad productiva.
Esta Ley regula las acciones estatales y privadas tendientes a la conservación, mejoramiento y recuperación de la capacidad productiva del suelo de la provincia.
This Act provides rules for physical planning, including Integrated Urban Areas and Town Development Planning, in Marsabit County. County plans shall be made in accordance with provisions of Part XI of the County Governments Act, 2012. This Act prescribes content of county physical development plan and creates a county planning unit which within the county government and a county planning unit.
The purpose of this Act is to contribute to the sound development of the national economy and to the preservation of national land and the environment by promoting the development of forestry and the various functions of forests concerning public interests, through rational preservation and use of mountainous districts.
