The Land Portal Foundation, Mokoro Ltd and Transparency International co-hosted an interactive webinar on sextortion in land governance and its implications on June 25th, 2018. The webinar featured an interactive discussion among expert panelists.

Land use and reforms are at the heart of Kenya’s political and economic future stability. Land is an enabler to support manufacturing, access to affordable and decent housing, universal health care, food security and nutrition.  Land is a critical driver in urban development through regulating access to land and use to achieve security of tenure for all.

The first casualty of any crisis – from Covid-19 to Climate change – are the poor and marginalized. Beyond first response, we need to radically reimagine our cities, reshape our communities for resilience and ready our at-risk populations for the future.

Approximately 1 billion people globally have insecure rights to their land and homes, leaving them vulnerable to conflict, hunger, poverty, and gender-based violence. A major contributor to property insecurity is that a quarter of the world’s population lacks formal property documents.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Climate Funds Management Unit (SCCFM) will host a discussion of gender equality in results-based climate finance with experts in the field on March 7th.
