The Constitution of the Republic of Tanzania was ratified in 1977. Since 1977, several amendments have been applied to the original Constitution. Many of these are related to the relationship between the united government and the Zanzibar government. This Constitution shall apply to Mainland Tanzania as well as Tanzania Zanzibar.

This Act makes provision for local government in Ghana and the promotion, conservation and development of customary law.There shall be a National House of Chiefs, which shall be instrumental in the development and conservation of law relative to chieftaincy and customary law. There shall also be Regional Houses of Chiefs which shall have functions of dispute resolution and compilation of customary law. Each traditional area shall have a Traditional Council and may have more than one Divisional Council.

This Act provides with respect to the jurisdiction, powers and functions of magistrates' courts and for other related matters. Magistrates courts are primary courts, district courts or courts of a resident magistrate. The Act defines jurisdiction proceedings relating to land and in case of customary law. A primary court, in proceedings of a civil nature, may order the recovery of possession of land.

These Regulations amend the Native Land Trust (Leases and Licences) Regulations in regulation 11 by repealing paragraph (1) and substituting that paragraph of these Regulations. They also repeal paragraph 3 of regulation 11. Paragraph (1) concerns the distribution of moneys received by the Native Lands Board by way of rents and premiums in respect of native land.

These Regulations make provision for the registration of common land and town or village greens under Part 1 of the Commons Act 2006. They apply to the registration areas (as defined in these Regulations) of the commons registration authorities in England specified in Schedule 1. Registers shall be kept by commons registration authorities. The Regulations concern, among other things, applications and proposals to amend the registers, including provision for the holding of public inquiries in appropriate cases.
