The National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan is a cross-sectoral national strategic document of Grenada for the period of 2016-2020. Its main objective is to provide a holistic and practical framework for actions on conservation and sustainable use of national biodiversity for enhanced human wellbeing and livelihoods.The strategic priorities to achieve the objective are enhanced national capacity for biodiversity conservation and sustainable use and key national ecosystems restored and sustainably managed.

These Regulations amend the Town and Country Planning (Trees) Regulations 1999, in relation to Wales in Part 1 and remove Part 2 of Schedule 2 to the Order. The effect of the amendments is to require— (a) a notice of appeal to be accompanied by a full statement of case comprised of a written statement containing full particulars of the appellant’s case and copies of supporting documents; and (b) the appellant to send a copy of both the notice of appeal and full statement of case to the authority which made the tree preservation order as soon as reasonably practicable.

This Chapter of the Code of Virginia provides for the preservation of farm and forest lands in Virginia. It establishes the Office of Farmland Preservation as a continuation of the Agricultural Vitality Program within the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services of Virginia.

This Act provides rules for the prospecting for and mining of minerals specified in the First Schedule to this Act. Save to the extent provided for in this Act, it shall not apply to matters relating to petroleum and hydrocarbon gases. This Code of Forest Harvesting Practices seeks to provide a set of guidelines to forest operators for carrying out sustainable and improved harvesting operations. It applies to all harvesting operations within Liberia’s natural forests. It includes among other things, social environmental and social performance requirements for timber logging and post-harvesting activities.

The protection and management of environment are among the pillars of Vision 2020. The objective of the Government is that by 2020, it will have built a nation in which pressure on natural resources, particularly on land, water, biomass and biodiversity, has significantly been reduced and the process of environmental pollution and degradation has been reversed; a nation in which the management and protection of these resources and environment are more rational and well regulated in order to preserve and bequeath to future generations the basic wealth necessary for sustainable development.

This Regulation sets forth principles and procedures of works and operations regarding private and public forests. This Regulation includes provisions on management and conservation of private and public forests, forest cadastre, forest planning, inspection, environmental impact assessment, as well as permit processes for works and operations regarding private and public forests.
