Desde sua criação, em 1992, a revista acolhe a produção heterodoxa inspirada, sobretudo, pelas tradições de Marx, Keynes, Kalecki e Schumpeter, bem como pela reflexão latino-americana sobre desenvolvimento econômico.

O departamento de Economia e Planejamento Econômico (DEPE), do Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas (IFCH) da Unicamp iniciou suas atividades em 1968, com cursos de economia e planejamento econômico em nível de pós-graduação. Considera-se essa a data de nascimento do IE/Unicamp. O curso de graduação em Ciências Econômicas começa em 1970 e o Mestrado e o Doutorado em economia foram formalmente implementados ao longo daquela década (1974 e 1977, respectivamente).

A Diretoria de Gestão Estratégica, Monitoramento e Avaliação (DGMA), surgiu em 1997 como Núcleo de Estudos Agrários e Desenvolvimento Rural (NEAD) para atuar na pesquisa, avaliação, monitoramento e aperfeiçoamento das políticas públicas de desenvolvimento rural. Sua atuação, dentro da estrutura atual da Sead, tem como base uma agenda política que visa ampliar, cada vez mais, o reconhecimento social da agricultura familiar e do acesso à terra, bem como o fortalecimento das suas estratégias de desenvolvimento econômico e social.

The Made in China Journal is an open access quarterly on Chinese labour, civil society, and rights. In recent years, the Chinese labour movement has witnessed significant developments, not only with the occurrence of some of the largest strikes in decades but also the emergence of increasingly serious challenges for workers and activists.
