A public selection is announced, based on qualifications and interview, for the award of  a postdoctoral assignemnt for the performance of research activities inherent to the Scientific Area "Earth Sciences" to be carried out at the Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis of the CNR carrying out research within the COOL Project - "System for the Consolidation of L2 products of the PRISMA-SG mission" - Implementing Agreement no. 2023-18-HH.0 of Framework Agreement No. 2018-6-Q.0 - CUP F23C23000160005, for: "Participation in the activities foreseen in the research project COOL - System for the COnsOlidation of L2 products of the PRISMA-SG mission" - The research will focus on the consolidation of L2 products (reflectance), of PRISMA-SG through the refinement of techniques for atmospheric correction and the development of verification/validation processes, as well as through the collection of ground data at sites of interest in Sardinia and other national and international sites. Application and development of techniques for remote data simulation and model inversion for data correction, including through the use of artificial intelligence learning analytical models and techniques. These comprehensive reports provide an in-depth analysis of the current land information systems, legal frameworks, and data accessibility in these countries.

The Land Portal Foundation and the Open Data Charter have released the report State of Land Information in Madagascar: An Open Data Action Framework for Madagascar, shedding light on the state of the land data ecosystem in Madagascar. The report serves as a comprehensive diagnostic tool and guide, aiming to catalyze change and foster conversations about data transparency and land governance in Madagascar.

Two comprehensive State of Land Information (SOLI) reports have been released, providing in-depth assessments of the land data and information ecosystems in Botswana and Zambia. These reports examine the availability of land information and evaluate its compliance with open data standards. The findings highlight the strengths and weaknesses of each country's land information management practices and offer insights for targeted interventions.

The Land Portal Foundation reported another successful year in 2022, making significant progress toward their organizational strategy and monitoring and evaluation framework. According to their annual survey, 87% of users reported a positive impact on their work, while the website continued to receive high traffic, averaging 74,000 visits per month.

We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead the provision and ongoing development of the core Land Portal online presence, and to provide technical leadership in our work to create an open and inclusive information ecosystem for land.  The successful candidate will demonstrate  a deep understanding of established and emerging technology, and translate this understanding into impact for the Land Portal Foundation.
