Mission 

DAI’s mission is to make a lasting difference in the world by helping people improve their lives. We envision a world in which communities and societies become more prosperous, fairer and better governed, safer, healthier, and environmentally more sustainable.

Land Tenure and Property Rights

The Centre for Land Tenure Studies was opened at the Nowegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) on the 27th of June 2011 resulting from a joint initiative by researchers at the Department of International Environment and Development (Noragric), the School of Economics and Business, and the Department of Landscape Architecture and Spatial Planning. In 2012 was joined by the Department of Ecology and Natural Resource Management.

The LAND Project is a five year program supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Its primary goal is strengthening the resilience of Rwandan citizens, communities and institutions and their ability to adapt to land-related economic, environmental and social changes.

Geoffrey Payne and Associates (GPA) was established in 1995 and has since undertaken consultancy, training and research assignments throughout the world. Clients include national governments, the UK Department for International Development (DFID), UN-HABITAT, SIDA, the World Bank, Cities Alliance and various NGOs and universities. Vision

ALRD envisions a Bangladesh where upholding the rights of the citizen is the cornerstone of the State and where the State is pro-actively pursuing the promotion and strengthening of the rights of poor and the marginalized, including the most vulnerable of the society; landless peasants, indigenous peoples, women and religious and other minority communities. ALRD further aspires for a Bangladesh that adopts secularism as key guiding principle and gender equity and social justice are considered as key objectives of all its undertakings.

The Legal and Human Rights Centre (LHRC) is a private, autonomous, voluntary non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit sharing organization envisioning a just and equitable society. It has a mission of empowering the people of Tanzania, so as to promote, reinforce and safeguard human rights and good governance in the country.  The broad objective is to create legal and human rights awareness among the public and in particular the underprivileged section of society through legal and civic education, advocacy linked with legal aid provision, research and human rights monitoring.

International Development Expert, writer, and motivational speaker Dr. Jamal Browne, continues to establish himself as an outstanding young leader within the Caribbean region and across The Americas.

At just 31 years old, his professional and academic accomplishments are testimony to his progressive outlook on life,  while his civic engagements and keen sense of social responsibility reflect his commitment to improving the human condition, while inspiring others to do the same.

SCLC's focus is on labour, tenure and human rights of farm- and forestry workers and dwellers, access to land and resources for small-scale / subsistence farmers and producers, and support and solidarity for communities resisting land development which threatens their homes, livelihoods, health and heritage.

The Dutch Land Governance Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue (LG MSD) is a dialogue jointly organized by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, companies, financial institutions, civil society organizations and knowledge institutes. Its organizing committee consists of representatives from Oxfam, Both ENDS, FMO, Actiam, APG, Utrecht University and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
