These Regulations provide for the grant of development consent for development which is, or forms part of, a nationally significant infrastructure project. The Regulations impose procedural requirements, in particular, the carrying out of environmental impact assessment (EIA) in relation to applications for development consent and in relation to applications for subsequent consent, which are applications for the approval of requirements imposed by orders granting development consent.

El presente Decreto modifica el Reglamento a la Ley que tiene como objetivo su correcta aplicación para la preservación del uso de los terrenos dedicados a actividades de producción primaria agropecuaria, para que se incluya la definición de Áreas de conservación y protección, que son todas aquellas partes o secciones de terrenos de un bien inmueble de uso agropecuario primario con límites definidos dedicados a la protección de los acuíferos, la protección ambiental, la regeneración natural del bosque o donde se han sembrado árboles con fines de protección.

The Act seeks to promote a national policy in respect of natural water. It establishes the legal framework for the use, allocation and conservation of water, and for the designation of conservation areas. It further creates the Water Conservation Authority (art. 5) and the Regional Water Boards for various catchment areas (art. 19). The 10 Schedules contain classifications for minimum water quality.

The present Ordinance implements the Land Use Planning and Building Law of 3 December 1978. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the correct and efficient enforcement of the afore-mentioned Law. Article 2 establishes that the Canton and the municipalities encourage the efforts of nature and heritage protection in particular on the basis of inventories through contributions to the implementation of voluntary measures, through publications, by teaching at school and in any other appropriate manner.
