En noviembre de 2019, el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INDEC) inició la difusión de resultados del decimotercer Censo Nacional Agropecuario (CNA-18) de la República Argentina. A partir de entonces, en poco menos de un año y en un contexto atravesado por la emergencia sanitaria, se presentaron los resultados preliminares de agricultura y ganadería. Este informe contiene, junto a las bases de datos que se difundirán en el sitio web del INDEC, los resultados definitivos y detallados, al máximo nivel de apertura posible, del CNA-18. 

Registro Nacional de Tierras Rurales

La Ley de Tierras dispuso la necesidad de realizar un relevamiento a nivel nacional con el objetivo de determinar la totalidad de tierras rurales en propiedad o posesión de extranjeros. Junto con el relevamiento, creó el Registro Nacional de Tierras Rurales (RNTR) en el ámbito del Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos de la Nación, quien tiene a su cargo aplicar integralmente y en todo el país la ley 26.737. Este primer informe contiene los resultados de ese relevamiento realizado por el Registro Nacional de Tierras Rurales.

For modernization of land records system in the country, a modified programme, viz., the National Land Records Modernization Programme (NLRMP) has been formulated by merging two Centrally-sponsored schemes of Computerization of Land Records (CLR) and Strengthening of Revenue Administration and Updating of Land Records (SRA&ULR). The NLRMP was approved by the Cabinet on 21.08.2008.

India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world, but its growth potential can be further enhanced by improving the land governance system in the country. The manual system of maintenance and updation of land records practiced earlier resulted in poor and outdated land records. As a result, nearly two-thirds of all pending cases in Indian courts were related to property disputes. Millions of Indians could not use their principal asset as collateral to borrow from the former financial system. The poor suffer the most. A large proportion of government land lied unused.

The Global Programme 'Responsible Land Policy' (GPRLP) is part of the Special Initiative 'One World, No Hunger' of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), which aims to reduce extreme poverty and hunger.

 

In Peru, ProTierras Comunales (PTC), as part of the Global Programme, aims to improve the access to land and natural resources for native communities in the Peruvian Amazon, in the regions Ucayali and San Martín. A functional and regularly updated digital cadastre system was created to improve the land titling system.

This 2018 Article IV Consultation highlights that Mali’s economic recovery continued in 2017 amid persistent security challenges. GDP growth remained robust, at an estimated 5.3 percent supported by good harvests and robust domestic demand. Inflation was subdued, remaining well below the regional ceiling. The 2017 fiscal outturn and the 2018 budget are in line with the program targets and the goal of converging to the West African Economic and Monetary Union’s regional fiscal deficit norm of 3 percent of GDP by 2019.

At its sixty-first session in September 2000, the ECE Committee on Human Settlements accepted the proposal of the Bureau of the Working Party on Land Administration to provide expert assistance to Armenia on land administration issues (ECE/HBP/119, annex I, programme element “Land registration and land markets”). Security of tenure is one of the most important factors in fighting poverty and stabilizing communities by improving housing conditions through housing investments, reducing social exclusion, improving access to urban services, environment and safety in urban areas.

La présente loi fixe la procédure de l’immatriculation de la propriété foncière. Cette procédure consiste dans l’établissement et l’enregistrement d’un titre de propriété appelé titre foncier. Par ailleurs, en ce qui concerne toute terre non immatriculée (vacante et sans maître, à moins que ne soit rapportée la preuve du contraire), elle prévoit la constatation et régime des droits coutumiers par une commission dont la composition est fixée par décret.

The role of metadata and open data in the innovation cycle of land administration

This publication discusses the importance of open data as a tool for inclusive land governance. It introduces and describes open data, land governance functions, and metadata. It provides an in-depth looks at AGROVOC, the controlled vocabulary about agriculture and related sciences coordinated by FAO for more than 40 years, and LandVoc, a sub-vocabulary dedicated to the land sector. Using these two examples, the article explores why structured metadata is integral for open data to support innovation and improvements in land administration.
