The Presidents of the State Committee on Privatisation and of the State Committee on Land Policy and Land Survey decree to validate the Regulation. Territorial (local) divisions of the State Committee on Privatisation must forward quarterly the list of lots destined for privatisation to the territorial (local) divisions of the State Committee on Land Policy and Land Survey.

This Regulation provides for the implementation of the Aboriginal land Act 1991. The Regulation is divided into 8 Parts (56 regulations) and is completed by 5 Schedules. Part 2 provides for the incorporation of claims for Aboriginal land, Part 3 deals with land trusts and Parts 4 and 5 specify, respectively, the powers of the Supreme Court on matters related to Aboriginal land and the decision making process for the granting of Aboriginal land.

Regional Law No. 1005-OZ “On allotment of land plots free of charge to citizens”.

This Regional Law establishes cases of allotment of plots of public or municipal land to citizens in ownership free of charge. The aforesaid land parcels shall be allotted to citizens for the following purposes: (a) individual housing construction and subsistence farming; and (b) commercial farming, horticulture, gardening and stockbreeding. Land parcels shall be allotted in accordance with land surveying documentation and once only.

All ungranted land is declared to be public land. Public land shall be at disposition and control of the Governor. The Governor in the exercise of the powers conferred upon him by this Ordinance in respect to any land shall have regard to the native laws and customs existing in the district in which such land is situated. It shall be lawful for the Governor: (a) to grant rights of occupancy to natives and non-natives; (b) To demand a rental for the use of any public lands granted to any native or non-native; (c) To revise the said rental at intervals of more than thirty-three years.

Section 2 (definitions) is amended by adding definitions of "survey and measurement", and "registered records". Section 7 is completely rewritten It provides for the circumstance in which the effective boundaries of a recorded area are not corresponding with the actual survey. A new section (8A) relative to replacement of old records of newly surveyed areas, is added. Section 11A concerns the preparation of land-ownership certificates.

El presente Decreto reglamenta el subsidio para la compra de tierras establecido en la Ley Nº 1.152 de 2007, que se otorgará por una sola vez a los hombres y mujeres campesinos y a los trabajadores agrarios, que se encuentren en las situaciones previstas en la misma Ley y que se postulen libremente para recibirlo de forma individual o colectiva.

Article 5 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Multi-child family seeking allotment of a land plot for subsidiary smallholding must indicate in the application the location of the land plot in question within the boundaries of inhabited area (smallholding) or outside inhabited area (field land plot)”.

This Act, consisting of 18 Parts and 2 Schedules, establishes composition, duties and reponsibilities of the Maori Land Court, which shall be the same court as that existing under the same name immediately before the commencement of this Act. In addition to the jurisdiction and powers expressly conferred on it by this or any other Act, the Maori Land Court shall have all the powers that are inherent in a court of record (I).
