This Regulation seeks to prevent or limit pollution of the environment by folio made of inorganic materials which is used in general in agriculture to cover animal feed. Article 2 declares the importer or producer of the folio to be responsible for the gathering and further removal of folio imported or produced by him or her.
This Regulation contains general rules for the prevention and limitation of harmful effects on the environment caused by horticulture with covered cultivations. This category is defined by article 1.1 of the Environment Protection Act. Covered cultivation shall be carried out in accordance with directions outlined in the Attachment to this Regulation.
This Act places restrictions on the removal of soil on land and in the sea. It is forbidden to remove soil on public or private land without a soil removal permit (art. 3). The permit is not required for soil removal carried out to prevent flooding, for the carrying out of a Town and Country Planning Plan, or the carrying out of a Provincial Environmental Programme (art. 6).
This amendment of the principal Act is introduced so as provide for a system of poultry rights, i.e. a right to hold poultry and to produce manure from poultry granted for purposes of control of production of manure. It shall be prohibited to produce on a livestock farm more manure from chickens and turkeys in a given year than the poultry right in force for the farm in that year.
