This Regulation is based on article 21 of Act No. 2924 dated 17 October 1983 and sets forth procedures and principles for providing support to forest villagers whose villages would be moved.Villages where development activities could not be achieved in their present locations and those that should be moved due to soil-water regime, health, military purposes, tourism and forestry will be determined jointly by the local organizations of the Ministry of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, General Directorate of Forestry and General Directorate of Rural Services. Lands where those villages would be moved will be specified by the same organizations.Expropriation procedures are given in details.Grasslands and pastures could be transferred to forest villages without any charge, only to be used for grazing. Field areas and their infrastructure could be sold to eligible villagers. Those who could be eligible and sales and pricing procedures are given in the Regulation.Cash and in-kind loans could be granted to villagers in accordance to corresponding provisions of the Regulation on Funding Development of Forest Villagers.This Regulation will be in force as of the date of its publication in the Official Journal.
