This Law approves the National Directive for Territorial Planning (DNOT). This Directive, consisting of 4 Sections, specifies the basic legislation for territorial planning and its management, as established by Legislative Decree No. 1/2006. The Directive is an instrument for the National territorial management, which establishes the legal spatial framework and defines the great options for the socio-economic development of the National territory. It is divided as follows: Rapport, where the analysis and problem appraisal is presented, opportunities and perspectives of the Cape Verdean territory, Territorial challenges and priorities, in a National, Regional and International context.
