The objectives of this Act aim at setting provisions for financial support of farmers through suitable loans and assistance for investments which may protect farmers' rights and enhance their benefits. This through providing technology, input and production facilities in order to improve agricultural production (developing seed research and production; modern agriculture and livestock breeding technology; coordinating information relating to meteorology, natural disaster, infectious diseases and other related information to farmers as soon as possible); in assisting farmers to sell agricultural produce at reasonable prices; and by providing as much aid for loss and damage caused by natural disasters. The Government shall form and appoint a Leading Body consisting of representatives of Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, of Livestock Breeding, Fisheries and Rural Development, and the Ministry of Commerce. The Leading Body has the task to assist farmers in the smooth coordination and implementation of these, as well as to take necessary measures to protect rights entitled to farmers. The Agricultural Produce Management Body shall eventually be formed by the Leading Body to analyze category of crops produced by said farmers to be traded. The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation shall be responsible for the expenses and office costs of the Leading Body.
