This Order transfers certain functions of Northern Ireland departments to other Northern Ireland departments. The functions which immediately before the transfer date are exercisable by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development under or for the purposes of the statutory provisions set out in Schedule 2 are transferred as from that date to the Department for Infrastructure. The functions which immediately before the transfer date are exercisable by the Department of the Environment— (a) under or for the purposes of the statutory provisions set out in Part 1 of Schedule 5 are transferred as from that date to the Department for Communities; (b) under or for the purposes of the statutory provisions set out in Part 2 of that Schedule are transferred as from that date to the Department for Infrastructure; c) under or for the purposes of any other statutory provision are transferred as from that date to the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs. Certain functions also transferred from the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure and the Office of the First Minister and deputy First Minister to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. legislation involved includes: the Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011, the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006, the Reservoirs Act (Northern Ireland) 2015, Water (Northern Ireland) Order 1999, the Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1966, and the Land Acquisition and Compensation (Northern Ireland) Order.
