Article 33 of the Land Code (No. 2768-III of 2001) shall be amended to add the following wording: “Land plots allotted for smallholding can be transferred by citizens for tenancy by legal entities of Ukraine and used by them for agricultural commodity production, farming without changing the specific use of these land plots”. Article 93 of the Land Code (No. 2768-III of 2001) shall be amended to add the following wording: “The term of lease of agricultural land for agricultural commodity production, farming and smallholding cannot be less than 7 years”. Article 72 of the Law No. 2498-XII on veterinary medicine shall be amended to add the following wording: “Veterinary drugs that are not registered on the national territory shall be authorized for import exclusively for authorized specific purposes”. Amendments to the Law No.161-XIV “On lease of land” establish that lease of land shall be regulated by contracts that must contain the following mandatory data of land plot subject to lease: cadastre number, location and dimensions of land plot; time period of lease; and the amount of rent. The time period for lease of agricultural land cannot be less than 7 years. Payment of lease shall be performed in monetary form. Amendment to the Law No. 180-XIV on plant protection establishes that the state supervision shall be applicable to compliance with the requirements of the legislation for quality of plant protection means, including pesticides, which are imported into Ukraine, as well as compliance with the regulations for their application. Amendments to the Law No. 1952-IV “On state registration of property rights to immovable property and encumbrances” regard application of payment for state registration of immovable property rights from which shall be exonerated state bodies and local government. Amendments to the Law No. 425-VII “On processing and turnover of organic agricultural products and raw materials regard utilization of ingredients for organic production, labelling and logo of organic production, certification thereof. It also establishes plenary powers of the central executive body in the sphere of implementation of state policy in the sphere of organic production. Other issues regard suitability of agricultural land for organic production and assessment of compliance of agricultural commodities with the requirements set for organic production.
