These Rules are enacted in accordance with the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Arbitration of Rural Land Contracting Disputes, aiming to improve the arbitration of rural land contracting disputes. The Rules consist of 62 Articles divided into 6 Chapters: General Provisions; Application and Acceptance; Arbitral Tribunals; Court; Arbitration; and Supplementary Provisions.The parties concerned may apply to a rural land contracting dispute arbitration commission for arbitration of the rural land contracting disputes as prescribed in Article 3, including: disputes arising from the conclusion, fulfillment, modification, cancellation and termination of rural land contracts; disputes arising from the turnover of the right to contracted management of rural land such as sub-contracting, lease, swap, transfer, participation of shares, etc.;. Arbitration of disputes over contracted management of rural land shall be held in court. A court session shall be open to the public, except when it involves state secrets, trade secrets, personal privacy and the parties agree not to open it.
