Job Opportunity: Communications and Event Management Specialist | Land Portal

MRLG is hiring a Communications and Event Management for Specialist for the Mekong Region Land Forum 2021.

MRLG and its partners successfully organized two Regional Land Forums, first in Hanoi in 2016 and then Bangkok in 2018. The second Regional Land Forum, co-organized with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). This year, MRLF2021 will focus on major trends and changes in the CLMV countries, including land and forest tenure governance reforms, changes to legal frameworks, and ongoing initiatives of MRLG, FAO and partner organizations. Due to mobility challenges arising from Covid-19 and to enable the participation of regional and global stakeholders, MRLF2021 has been significantly redesigned. The event will be simultaneously organized in four or five geographic locations, one in each of the CLMV countries and potentially Thailand, virtually linked together and with global participants through an online interface. As such, the complexities of hosting such an event require the technical and advisorial expertise of a Communications and Event Management Specialist.

The Applicant will be contracted for 25 working days. Compensation will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s qualifications and competitive with global standards in the industry.
